After not writing a blog post for a long time, I am back with the news that I passed the 8th DND. I will write this including what I felt after participating in today’s orientation.
What is DND?
DND is a program that provides side project experience where developers and designers collaborate for 8 weeks. Although educational programs such as seminars are provided, the main purpose is to collaborate with team members and proceed with projects. Therefore, this is a program that can be recommended to people who want to gain side project experience.
Reason for applying to DND
Because I thought DND could make up for what I was lacking. The part I always felt I was lacking was my lack of project experience, but I felt like I could definitely make up for this.
In particular, it was attractive because it provided an opportunity for developers and designers to collaborate. There were no opportunities to collaborate with designers while working on projects on campus. Because of this, there was always a lot of disappointment due to the poor completion of the project. So, I wanted to use this opportunity to gain experience collaborating with designers.
Characteristics of teams that create good products
- Each person faithfully performs his or her role
- Active collaboration between development and design parts
- Communication using Slack
- If help is needed, actively seek help from management
- Setting clear goals
- Faithfully carry out assignments delivered each week
- Share progress using Scrum
These are the characteristics of teams that produced good products under their previous leadership. This was the most important part of this orientation, so I organized it separately. As we proceed with DND in the future, we plan to proceed with the project by taking advantage of these characteristics.
Conclusion
Actually, I was surprised when I received the result that I passed. This is because more people applied than I expected, and very few people were selected. We will do our best to proceed with the project as we have been given this difficult opportunity. thank you.
